A twenty-piece limited edition of Histoire de Tourbillon 1 was issued in 2009.
Since tourbillons steal the show, the grey dial is cleverly skeletonized to accentuate the movement's balletic motion. The Histoire de Tourbillon 1 rotates its two single-axis tourbillons, each inclined at a 25° angle, once every 36 seconds using a manual wind movement. This is very quick, considering that most cages take a minute to turn around completely. Harry Winston's achievement was made feasible by the 88 tourbillons' only 0.46 grams in weight.
