Description

This watch is also known as: 03 428

Greubel Forsey does not produce ordinary watches. For example, its GMT wristwatch, designed for dual time zones, elevates the travel time complication significantly. Likewise, the Quantième Perpétuel à Équation is not a typical perpetual calendar. It boasts a comprehensive calendar that includes a leap year and a four-digit year display, as well as indicators for the equation of time, seasons, solstices, and equinoxes – all of which can be adjusted using the crown.

The movement consists of 570 components, which is a considerable number even for a watch of this complexity. In contrast, the Patek Philippe calibre R TO 27 PS QR – which includes a perpetual calendar, tourbillon, and minute repeater – found in the Grand Complication Ref. 5016, contains 506 parts.

Tourbillon 24-seconde

A tourbillon regulator is a consistent element in every Greubel Forsey timepiece (with one exception). The perpetual calendar features the brand's most basic tourbillon – the same one utilized in its entry-level wristwatch – a high-speed tourbillon that completes one revolution every 24 seconds, as opposed to the traditional one minute. Additionally, the tourbillon is positioned at a 25° angle to the movement's plane.
