Description

The De Bethune interpretation of the perpetual calendar is imbued with poetry and combines horological finesse with the cutting-edge mechanisms of the Manufacture by uniting moon phases, a star-studded sky and a perpetual calendar within an exceptional timepiece.

De Bethune DB25 QP Automatique 44mm Self-winding mechanical watch features a 44mm titanium case surrounding a hand-guilloched Green dial on a Green Textile strap with a tang buckle. Functions include hours, minutes, day, date, month, spherical moon phase, leap year indicator, and perpetual calendar. This watch is water resistant to 30m.

Developed in the Manufacture's Haute Horlogerie workshops in Sainte Croix in the Swiss Jura, the automatic DB2324 caliber benefits from De Bethune's research and technology know-how, including a perpetual calendar, a spherical moon indicating the moon phases with a precision of 1 day/122 years, a self-regulating double barrel, a triple pare-chute system and a titanium/grey gold balance.

A sapphire caseback allows one to admire the complexity of the movement as well as the refinement of its finishing: ¾ platinum bridge with star decoration, sandblasted and hand-colored, blued titanium balance bridge and oscillating weight arm, hand-colored white gold weight, hand-beveled and mirror-polished steels.

The finesse of the decorations and the purity of the green hand-guilloche dial, radiating in 12 sectors, underline the legibility of the dial, which is built up by the assembly of ring-shaped appliques delimiting the sub-dials and the hour circle. At 12 o'clock, a sphere in palladium and black oxidized zirconium sits in a sky set with gold stars, also incorporating a leap year indicator in a gold pastille in the starry sky at 12 o'clock. The date can be read on a dial located at 6 o'clock, while the windows indicating the day of the week and the month are located at 9 and 3 o'clock respectively.
