Featuring a curved-sided "tonneau" case crafted from either 18K pink gold or 950 platinum, the Vacheron Constantin Open Worked Malte Tourbillon watch exemplifies the harmonious relationship between technology and design.

In addition to its aesthetic appeal and technical lineage from the Malte collection, it showcases a distinctive character of its own. Similar to its solid metal version, the openworked, or "skeletonized", tourbillon incorporates the Malte collection’s hallmark features: stepped, fan-shaped horns, a crown adorned with a stylized "Maltese cross" symbol, and sword-shaped hour and minute hands.

The polished steel carriage of the Malte Tourbillon prominently displays Vacheron Constantin’s "Maltese cross" symbol. Currently, the design and construction of tourbillon movements continue to pose significant challenges. Vacheron Constantin’s caliber 1790 movement was entirely conceived and manufactured in its Vallée de Joux workshops. In addition to a tourbillon regulator, the movement is equipped with a power-reserve indicator and a pointer-type date calendar.
